Evidence-based HRV and autonomic nervous system diagnostics for longevity clinics, medical practices, and performance-focused health providers.
Everion brings ANS Analysis to Hungary as a validated, daily-practice tool for measuring heart rate variability (HRV) and autonomic nervous system regulation in a way that is clinically meaningful, efficient, and easy to explain to patients.
At a glance
- Evidence-based HRV and ANS assessment
- ECG-accurate chest strap, validated software
- Immediate, visual results on iPad
- Suitable as a routine check-up tool and therapy monitoring
Why ANS Analysis
ANS Analysis is an evidence-based system for measuring heart rate variability and autonomic nervous system function. It has been developed to meet high scientific requirements while remaining practical in everyday medical and therapeutic use.
- ECG-accurate data acquisition
- Robust, clinically relevant HRV and ANS parameters
- Study-based reference values
- Intuitive visualization for both patients and professionals
The result: a compact, delegable, time-efficient tool that supports risk stratification, early detection of regulatory disorders, and objective therapy monitoring.
Scientific foundation
ANS Analysis is built on more than 20 years of HRV research and uses evidence-based reference values derived from a large international data set.
- Positive validation studies
- Evidence-based standard values based on more than 20,000 healthy subjects
- Age-related reference values, including children and adolescents
- Defined absolute risk cut-off values
- Regular calibration against reference HRV software
For quality assurance, ANS Analysis is continuously validated and compared with established scientific HRV tools, ensuring high agreement for key parameters such as heart rate, SDNN, RMSSD, and Alpha 1.
What is measured
ANS Analysis measures heart rate variability – the variation in the time interval between heartbeats – via an ECG-accurate chest strap. The system records RR intervals with high temporal precision and then calculates both HRV and ANS parameters.
- Exact detection of RR intervals with high accuracy
- Robust time-domain HRV parameters (e.g. SDNN, RMSSD)
- Selected ANS parameters focusing on regulatory capacity
- Non-linear risk parameter Alpha 1 (quality of HRV, systemic interaction)
The system limits itself to parameters that are clinically useful, non-redundant, and well established as prognostic markers in the literature. This supports a clear, practice-oriented interpretation rather than overwhelming users with unnecessary metrics.
Application fields
ANS Analysis is designed as a standard entry examination across multiple disciplines, because changes in autonomic regulation often precede clinically visible disease.
- As a routine entry examination to assess overall adaptability of the organism
- As an additional module in check-ups for early risk detection
- For patients with stress-related symptoms in any discipline
- For therapy monitoring to evaluate the impact on autonomic regulation
- For risk stratification in existing disease
- Prevention and general check-ups
- Stress, burnout, sleep disorders, fatigue
- Hypertension, cardiovascular risk stratification
- Diabetes and diabetic neuropathy
- Chronic pain, fibromyalgia, recurrent back pain
- Menopausal complaints
- Tinnitus, dizziness, migraine
- Depression, psychosomatic complaints
- COPD, recurrent infections, immune-related load
Practical handling
ANS Analysis is designed for quick, delegable use in practice – comparable in effort to measuring blood pressure.
- Patient is fitted with an ECG-accurate chest strap (no need to undress completely)
- Measurement is performed in a seated or lying position in a quiet environment
- Duration typically 5–10 minutes, depending on heart rate
- Measurement ends automatically and is immediately evaluated
- Results are displayed on an iPad with clear graphical visualization
The system includes a reliable artefact correction function and automatically flags measurements that exceed a defined artefact threshold, suggesting repetition or ECG-based clarification where needed.
Visualization – high patient acceptance
One of the strengths of ANS Analysis is its visual representation of complex physiology in a way that is intuitive for both professionals and patients.
Two main views are available:
Patient view
- Resting heart rate, sympathetic activity, and parasympathetic activity
- Colour coding to indicate tension (red) and relaxation (blue)
- Traffic-light background to orient quickly between “all OK” and “clearly dysregulated”
Therapist view
- Focus on five practically relevant ANS parameters
- Heart rate
- SDNN (total variability)
- RMSSD (parasympathetic activity)
- Stress index (sympathetic activity)
- Alpha 1 (non-linear risk parameter, quality of regulation)
The combination of rhythmogram, histogram, scatter plot, and ANS bar graphs allows both a rapid overview and deeper interpretation when needed, without flooding the clinician with redundant data.
Risk parameter Alpha 1
The Alpha 1 parameter is a non-linear HRV measure that reflects the quality of regulation rather than its quantity. It describes the interaction of control circuits within the autonomic nervous system and has been used as an additional risk parameter in clinical settings.
- Low Alpha 1 values at rest can indicate increased risk and warrant further diagnostic clarification
- High Alpha 1 values may point to compensatory processes that require monitoring
- Used as a meaningful risk parameter, including in intensive care contexts
Cardiovagal biofeedback
Beyond resting measurement, ANS Analysis includes cardiovagal biofeedback based on respiratory sinus arrhythmia.
- Standardized respiratory rhythm (often six breaths per minute)
- Real-time visualization of autonomic changes under guided breathing
- Allows assessment of parasympathetic reserves under controlled conditions
- Can be used diagnostically (reserve assessment) and therapeutically (breathing training)
Children and adolescents – study-based reference values
ANS Analysis is the first system to integrate study-based reference values for children and adolescents, in addition to the adult range.
This is particularly relevant as stress and regulatory disorders in younger populations are increasing, and autonomic patterns differ significantly from adults.
- Age-appropriate interpretation of HRV and ANS in 10–19-year-olds
- Better assessment of stress resilience and regenerative capacity in young patients
- Early preventive interventions before stress-related patterns consolidate
Orthostatic test
An additional orthostatic module is available for assessing sympathetic weakness and parasympathetic dominance.
- Measurement of RR intervals while lying, followed by standing
- Change of position acts as a standardized stress impulse
- In a healthy response, heart rate and stress index rise while parasympathetic activity decreases
- Lack of change indicates regulatory disorder with dominant parasympathetic activity and weakened sympathetic response
Long-term and IHHT modules
For extended therapy monitoring, ANS Analysis offers further modules:
- Unlimited measurement time with real-time visualization of parasympathetic activity
- Marker and memo functions during measurement to tag interventions
- Suitable for monitoring during talk therapy, acupuncture, neural therapy, infusions, manual therapies, and more
IHHT module
- Real-time parasympathetic monitoring during intermittent hypoxic training
- Interval-specific evaluation of hypoxia, normoxia, and hyperoxia phases
- Supports safe and individualized adjustment of IHHT intensity
